Recycling
The fallacy of recycling according to popular thinking seems to be three-fold:
It assumes everything can be cleanly and efficiently recycled.
It assumes there’s an economic or societal need for the by-products of recycling.
It assumes that recycling somehow negates over-consumption.
We need to recycle, yes, but we also just need to consume less.
